Around the world, Diary, What's new

Travel Diaries. Riding camels

One day D’s mom decided we had to ride camels. I guess the main reason was that I didn’t do it before. Actually, I wasn’t so keen on it, but you know how difficult it is to say no to parents, don’t you? And she meant it the best way possible.

That’s why we went to the mountains. To ride camels. It feels like there’s not much to write about this. My only advice is not to be scared and to go there anytime except summer. It’s a little bit too got to stay out in almost desert in summer. Trust me. Unless you are used to the climate there. Which we are not.

But, to be honest, the camels were nice and so were the guys walking along with us. Even though their English was not prepared for a good chat, they tried to understand and speak when we asked something. They really tried and that’s something to be appreciated. What was amazing was watching sunset out there. It was never so nice from the hotel.

I have never looked forward to a shower so much in my life. When we came back to the hotel shower was the first thing I did. Well, to sum it up, it was a nice experience and id ensured me that next time we’ll go there in autumn or spring.

What about you and camels, are you friends? Share your experience guys!

Love, Michaela

  1. I am not overly fond of riding on camels …they wobble so especially as they get back onto their feet. But looks like you made the most of it. After all, you cannot mess with a mother’s plans 😉 The photos are beautiful.

    1. Perfect point about mothers! I don’t need to do it again. But as it was my first holiday with her I tried to enjoy it as much as possible. Everything is good with the right people 🙂
